This is continuation of the seminar held at the end of Oct 2012. After Dr Sherman Gu systematically and comprehensively interpreted the codes and guidelines set by the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA), our members have requested Dr Gu to provide more details on how to write up patient records to meet CMBA’s requirements. In this seminar, Dr Gu will demonstrate how to write a comprehensive Chinese medicine patient record according to CMBA’s Guidelines. After this, Dr Angela Yang will explain how to write up a patient case report for publication so that the public can share your valuable experience.

Dr Sherman Gu graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He completed his postgraduate study at RMIT University where he is currently engaged in Chinese Medicine teaching and research. Dr Gu has been appointed by the Attorney-General of Victorian Government as a sessional member of Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) for discipline hearings since 2007. He has attended a few hearings and his appointment has been renewed by the Victorian Government in 2012. Dr Gu and his colleague have drafted submission for response to consultation paper of Patients Record in 2012.

Dr Angela Yang graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She is a Chinese Medicine lecturer and PhD supervisor at the Discipline of Chinese Medicine, RMIT University, and a peer-reviewer for a number of international professional journals. She also serves as Executive Editor-in-Chief for the proposed Australian Journal of Chinese Medicine and Science. She has published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.
