Professional issues related to Chinese medicine practice in a national registration context

The national registration of Chinese medicine has commenced since 1 July 2012. The Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) has developed a series of codes and guidelines to guide the clinical practice. Dr Sherman Gu will systematically and comprehensively interpret these codes and guidelines and highlight the essentials for attention. Dr Bill Fan will demonstrate how to use a management system to keep the patient records and meet CMBA’s requirements.

Decoding the Stimulating Meridian Therapy
Dr Li is a Professor of Chinese Medicine, currently Chairman of the China Channel Treatment Research Council, Director of the Chinese Medicine Training School of China Chinese Medicine Research Institute, and Adjunct Professor at the International College, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. He has rich experience in Chinese Medicine practice, inventor of Stimulating Meridian Therapy by using acupuncture (Jitong Therapy). He was also awarded Gold Medal as Chinese Outstanding Talents of Medicine by Ministry of Health and State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. Prof Li has published 3 books and 53 journal articles nationally and internationally.

Li Qing, male, born on August 1, 1961, graduated from college, TCM Chief Physician, Professor. The "meridians stimulated through therapy" founder, "four-dimensional three-way therapeutic apparatus", "meridians activate instrument inventor, currently Deputy Secretary-General of the World Federation of Acupuncture Society of Chinese folk medicine pharmaceutical Research and Development Association meridian Clinic Research Professional Committee chairman, Dean of the Medical Research Institute of Beijing World WFAS rehabilitation.

Dr You has solid attainment in Chinese medicine theory as well as comprehensive and systematic skills for clinical diagnosis and treatment. He followed Professor Shan Zhaowei, Spleen/Stomach diseases specialist at the Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Medicine Hospital for many years. Dr You is good at the prevention and treatment of Spleen/Stomach conditions for the aged. In this seminar, he will introduce some important statements of Treatise on Spleen and Stomach by Li Dongyuan (1180-1251), and interpret their applications in modern Chinese herbal medicine practice by incorporating his own experience.
