Functional English

FCMA supports English proficiency whilst also providing translations for its members in order to ensure important issues are well-understood. FCMA encourages any member with language difficulties to improve English proficiency in order to expand their clinical practice and also to keep abreast with AHPRA and CMBA updates.

English language tests approved by Ahpra are:

• IELTS academic module - minimum score of 7 in listening reading writing and speaking and a minimum overall score of 7
• OET with minimum score of B in listening reading writing and speaking
• PTE Academic with a minimum score of 65 in listening reading writing and speaking and a minimum overall score of 65
• TOEFL iBT with minimum scores of 24 in listening and reading, 27 in writing and 23 in speaking and a minimum overall score of 94
